Jane Kim has been teaching piano for over 18 years at various schools and her private studios (Inner West and Hills area). Her students include prizewinners at many competitions (including Great Composers International Competition, Sydney, Ryde, and Inner West Eisteddfods), successful diploma candidates (AMEB, Trinity, and ABRSM) as well as encore nominees for HSC Music. Besides her teaching commitments, she works with the Sydney Philharmonia Choir and is an affiliated piano accompanist of the Sydney Eisteddfod. Jane is also an award-winning composer, having won Second Prize at the Law Society of NSW's "Just Music". Her solo piano work (A Straight Line) was performed at the City Recital Hall in 2018. A piece for violin and piano (Via Dolorosa) was premiered by Canadian violinist Bora Kim and Australian pianist Samuel Dharma in 2019. In 2020, two of her recent works were published by the UCLA (the University of California, Los Angeles) as part of their Contemporary Music Score Collection on EScholarship.
